Two PSD faculty members, Mike Franklin & Angela Olinto, have received named professorships effective July 1, 2016.

mjfranklin.jpgMike Franklin, Professor in the Department of Computer Science and the College, has been named the first Liew Family Chairman.  This named professorship was established by John Liew, AB’89, MBA’94, PhD’95 and a member of the Board of Trustees, and his wife Serena Liew, Lab’85, AB’89, and provides the chair of Computer Science with a fund for faculty recruitment and retention, faculty research, student fellowships, instructorships, as well as program and curriculum development. 


olinto-angela__2_0.jpgAngela Olinto, currently the Homer J. Livingston Professor, Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics and the College, will become the Homer J. Livingston Distinguished Service Professor.  The Distinguished Service Professorship recognizes outstanding contribution to scholarship, teaching, and to the intellectual community of the University.
