Your support can assist the University of Chicago in maintaining its preeminence in the physical sciences by helping recruit the best students and faculty, giving our researchers the essential tools and space they need, and supporting our continued unparalleled legacy of exploration and discovery. Whether you endow a fellowship for $1 million, donate $100 to the Dean’s Fund, or give something in between, your gift can make a crucial difference in a student’s career and the University’s future.
The Physical Sciences Dean’s Fund provides the dean with the ability to opportunistically support initiatives in the division. This fund allows to dean to provide resources for the division’s greatest needs and research projects which are high risk but have tremendous scientific potential and are not easily funded through the standard channels of government or foundation support.
There are several ways to make your gift to the physical sciences including gifts of cash, gifts of securities, and by taking advantage of your employer’s matching gifts program. Another way to support the physical sciences is by remembering us in your will or estate plan and becoming a member of the Phoenix Society. There are several options to choose from when making a planned gift, all of which will allow our faculty and students to continue making groundbreaking discoveries in the decades to come.
