By accepting an offer of admission and joining our community, all students accept responsibility for conducting themselves in accordance with the university's general policies and protocols. These policies are given their official statement in the Student Manual of University Policies & Regulations:
- University Policies: includes Policy on Harassment, Discrimination, and Sexual Misconduct, Disability Accommodation Protocol, Graduate Student Parent Policy, Student Employment, IT Policies, Inventions and Discoveries
- Academic Policies and Requirements: includes Academic Honesty & Plagiarism, Dissertation Requirements, PhD Registration System
- Administrative Policies and Requirements: includes insurance and immunization, directory information, mandatory fees
- Student Life and Conduct: includes disciplinary systems
In all instances, conduct involving possible violation of University policies and regulations and other breaches of standards of behavior expected of a student in the Physical Sciences Division should be brought promptly to the attention of the PSD Dean of Students. The Physical Sciences Division follows the Area Disciplinary System outlined in the Student Manual.
In addition, PSD graduate students are required to comply with specific department or program policies where such exist and also a divisional policy requiring training in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).
